- Lookout Mountain RoadThe Lariat Loop's switchback climb from Golden up Lookout Mountain, about 6 miles with a gentle-by-comparison 5% average grade but a steady sequence of hairpins. One of the most popular close-to-Denver climbs, shared heavily with road cyclists.
- Mount Blue Sky Road · CO 5Colorado Highway 5, formerly Mount Evans Road — the highest paved road in North America, reaching 14,130 ft. Narrow with hairpin turns and no guardrails on the upper section between Echo Lake and the summit.
