Page Mill is the technical foothill climb in the Page Mill–Skyline–Alice’s guide. The upper road reaches the Skyline Boulevard and Alpine Road junction beside Russian Ridge Preserve. That junction separates the climb from the ridge road and the westward descent, so choose the next leg before setting off. Midpen: Russian Ridge directions
The appeal is the changing rhythm of the bends and the climb toward the ridge. Short sightlines and bicycle traffic deserve attention throughout. For the Woodside outing, turn north on Skyline toward Alice’s and take Highway 84 downhill toward Woodside; the driving guide spells out that direction at the junction.
