Planning the drive

Wolf Pen Gap Road is specifically the western 11.2-mile section of Georgia Highway 180, from Suches to where it merges into a concurrency with US 19/129. GA 180 continues east from there as a separately named section (Bald Mountain Road) that isn't mapped here — a good example of how one state route number can cover roads with genuinely different names and identities along its length. 63 bends and 4 full switchbacks make this a flowing, technical road rather than a switchback-heavy one.
