This is the front side of Highway 9: the wooded climb from Saratoga to Saratoga Gap. The junction with Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) is the key decision point at the top. For a ridge-and-coast outing, head north on Skyline toward Highway 84 and Alice’s, then use the coastal guide below for the turns through Pescadero.
